I would be fascinated to see how the people freaking out about this removal would react if Blizzard were to instead make its male characters more sexualized to balance it out.

I think it would be easier for me to be on board with the idea of that storyline closing out with an anime instead of a game if the anime adaptation of the first game hadn’t been so awful (imo).

It kind of blew mind when I realized Asian Kung-Fu Generation’s Sol-Fa was a decade old mere minutes before finding out out that a new version of Re:Re: was the intro for Erased.

I’ve been able to sell tons of people on the game over the years based on the intro alone. So much personality.

Man, I wish it didn’t sound like they were abandoning Boom after this one. The games were certainly not great, but it seemed like they were filled with little moments of “spark” like this.

Huh. Strange trailer. Visually it reminds me a lot of Telltale’s Walking Dead, actually. Dunno how well it works for me. Glad to have the grim tone back, though.

Please tell me someone snuck in a stereo playing this on loop.

We have to go deeper.

Heard about Erased a couple days ago after seeing people referring to AKFG’s Re: Re: being used as an opening theme. Looks pretty cool. (It’s mildly horrifying to realize that album is 10 years old.)

While I personally loved the Challenge, I understand why some people are put off by it. It’s definitely a completely different kind of challenge than what the rest of the game is. (Personally, I think it’s cool that the game trains you up and then gives you one big final puzzle that forces you to think on your feet,

I can’t get enough of videos messing with Star Wars audio.

I know it’s not at all what the series is meant to be like, but man would I play the hell out of an XCom game with gameplay like Valkyria Chronicles.

Must-watch for anyone remotely interested in game development, whether or not you care about Broken Age. I was pretty sad when it ended, I feel more of a personal connection to Double Fine now than I do with pretty much any other dev.

Going Xbox + Windows is absolutely the right call, it only opens up the game to more people (and more sales). As someone who also has an alright gaming PC - which has to be a relatively small percentage of the entire pool of Xbox/console owners - I do understand and feel a bit of the frustration of losing an exclusive

The fact that Kojima enjoys Aardman movies warms my black little heart.

It’s a good thing that they’re stepping back a bit before the next one and there is indeed a lot about the franchise that could be improved, but I hope they were at least pleased with the warm reception Syndicate received, even if sales were down. It’s probably my second favorite entry in the series and I’d love to

I hope the Vita version has a vertical option. The controls might be a tad weird but as long as they’re customizable it should work out.
