You can’t “make” a staircase out of old pallets balanced haphazardly on top of each other. I saw the photos. It didn’t look homey at all. With no working sinks or bathrooms and stuff piled everywhere, it certainly DID look like a hoarder’s paradise. Nobody should ever (especially children) be living in an art commune…

If a Yooper doesn’t know what wind chill is, then I think you might have some problems. I’ve been to the Dakotas and Montana during blizzards. Its because you have nothing to break the wind. They are awful, horrible places to live in.

Northern Michiganders are often considered “Midwesterners” and can survive blizzards quite nicely, thank you.
