I used to play this game (Bu Yuu retsuden, on Megadrive) a lot (admittedly, on my PC on an emulator). I really loved the way it handled the scale of the battles by cutting the screen to show distance, and also to incorporate the flying that is so important for DBZ battles.
You beat me to it. Otsukare!
Can you point me to a good video? I don't want to waste too much time on watching repetotive gameplay moments, only when it's relevant to the story. Some of those longplay videos are insanely long. I don't own a PS (probably never will) but I want in on the journey...
The thing about propaganda is that there's always a kernel of truth. There probably were quite a few fleeing soldiers, but that still doesn't justify what's happened in Nanking (irrespective of the numbers - even the smallest estimate is unacceptable).
I totally see your point, but it's a bit different here: as far as I can tell from two coutries away, you good Germans went to great pains to exorcise your society. Japan has never really did that on her own accord.

The horrible state the country was in under the Japanese occupation and the subsequent "victory" (haha) by the Communists and Mao is one of the pikllars of the…
And there's a museum on the shrine grounds with a deeply biased view on the war (e.g. it tells that all that happened in Nanjing was that the Japanese soldiers caught some cowardly Chinese soldiers who were trying to escape in civilian clothing...)
One Korea site went as far to breakdown the sequence even more, noting that one of the jersey's read "Tomi" and speculated that it referred to former Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama, who apologized for Japan's war atrocities.
Worry not, the Japanese article says an Android version is coming soon. I hope it won't be region-locked...
I haven't read that one yet, but the snails in Spiral are so amazingly, terribly, viscerally awful, that I don't think they'll be easily surpassed. Will go and check.
Also: they've made an anime out of Gyo. I'm not sure I wanna watc it tho, the manga was almost too much for me (one for the list of weirdest apocalypses,…
