Not really, hence why shades of Kenny always come out of Gamby. Vice Principles is just a tame Eastbound and Down, draped in the wrappings of an 80's high school movie.

Nope, he definitely has a couple of arcs. I won't spoil anything, but yeah Kenny is a lot more complex than he is in the pilot, or even the first few episodes of season 1. Season 1 of Eastbound was good, but 2 and 3 and even 4 are masterpieces, if that's your sort of humor.

Gamby continues to be more and more like Kenny Powers with each episode. This one he gets the Powers' insults down pat.
