Yes! Morgan listened to Richard's story and how his plan was meant to unfold and not only realized he identifies with Richard more than he thought, he sees that Richard has a point. Morgan made the decision not to fight the Saviors before and now Benjamin was killed. It doesn't matter what could have or should have

Morgan killed Richard to prove to the Saviors they could be relied on and trusted (so that they could later have an advantage to fight and kill the Saviors) thus both fulfilling Richard's plan and expressing Morgan's rage. It wasn't simply him snapping, it was a calculated move that Morgan was forced to make despite
