Did you read what I wrote? They won’t feel compelled to testify. They’ll show up, they’ll answer questions, but not as if they didn’t settle the civil suit out of court.

The criminal case will have witnesses some of which would have settled the civil case. They won’t feel as compelled to testify to get him behind bars because they’d feel vindicated already.

Settling a civil suit out of court doesn’t help anyone other than the accuser and the accused. Anyone else is left out. Weinstein is not paying a dime as his insurance will. The case should go on and a jury should decide the outcome, not two lawyers in a office.
