I am not your parents, but I can imagine they would have the same questions as me... what is Plex and why didn’t the post have a paragraph spelling it out? For example, does it cost anything? Is it a website or a phone app? Does it work on the TV? What’s in it for them? How do they make money off of my Hulu password?
