I find these complaints so weird - I guess people are genuinely concerned that Chopper is gonna actually get one of his friends killed one day? Its a cartoon serial, which lives and breathes on close calls. Why is it an issue that he almost gets characters killed? And again, while he's frequently lucky, he's still

I find his "zero f—ks" attitude totally likeable. Do you complain about Bender on Futurama? Its ostensibly the same character. Plus, its a fun tension that everyone finds him so exasperating, but that at the end of the day they nonetheless stick together as a misfit family. I feel you and the reviewer are exaggerating

It was also pretty funny to see that happen on a kid's show. (Though if I recall, they did include a shot to show that the droid wasn't dead, it landed fairly safely in the middle of nowhere).

I do not understand the hate for Chopper at all. I love his misanthropy and selfishness; its genuinely funny. This episode may be fluff, but it was funny fluff.
