I am waiting for the JT (Scrambler). In late 2019 it will be either a JT or a GTI.

60 hp and 105 ft-lbs of torque in the MB and GPW. 18 MPG is easily obtained. Still way outclassed by modern engines, but you only need a few simple tools to maintain and repair it... if you are brave enough to drive it.

...also compared to the Golf R.

It looks like the glass is the only thing holding what is left of the frame around the glass in place. Proceed with caution.

A Jeep XJ owner in California got DETHWBL. David Tracy would understand.

I guess I did jump to conclusions too fast and didn’t know your background. I have been fixing up Jeeps, mostly XJ’s as a hobby, not as a profession. I sit at a computer writing code all day long and on the weekends I want to do something with my hands so I wrench on old Jeeps. I used to be able to get a XJ for less

It’s not about flipping it and turning a profit. It is about the experience working on it. Learning a new Jeep and learning more about yourself. The experience of taking something that you brought back to life on an epic adventure and sharing it with us.

Three things:

I was happily working on my XJ in the driveway, it was the first time my son, who was 3, wanted to help me work on the Jeep. He didn’t know the names of the tools yet so I would ask for something and he would just hand me what ever was near him. He was having a great time and I was getting close to getting my

My lifted XJ has a purple roof rack with the spare on top (until it goes in the back when off-road), very easy to spot.

I don’t know if you can in the JK or will be able to in in the JL, but in my YJ I can put it in first gear with engine off and crank the starter for a super low speed crawl. It helps when you are trying to do the 3 footed dance up a ledge on loose soil/rocks and your wife screaming “why are all the 1000 foot drop offs

Jeep Wranglers have great resale value and I see no reason why the pickup won’t be the same.

In the early 80's GM sold their 2.8l V6 to Jeep to put in the XJ Cherokee. As soon as they realized that Jeep had a huge hit that was eating into their sales of their Blazer and Jimmy they stopped selling them the V6. Jeep was forced to rush the 4.0l into use with Renix fuel injection and modifications to the engine

I have 3, two Jeeps and one Jetta TDI.

How many of your Jeeps would pass a safety inspection?

I prefer the look of the TJ Rubicon wheels on my XJ, but the Ecco’s are very nice looking and have the correct backspacing.

You probably own a house, as I do. We are both either lucky or worked hard to get where we are, but many more in California live in apartments that do now have charging stations for the tenants to charge overnight. These people will have to charge during the day.

Unless you live in Los Angeles where it means more money for the DWP slush funds.

Every warm day in Southern California we get a “Flex Alert”, which means they want us to limit power usage. I don’t see that getting any better with only EV’s being sold. “Please limit you use of air conditioning and other electronic appliances so that those that do not have houses can charge their vehicles today.”

Something like this would be great for the Salton Sea, which is dying due to evaporation and decreased clean water flowing into it. Unfortunately I doubt it would affordable in develop. <sarcasm>Look for a ballot initiative soon for a $5B bond to start a pilot program to test it’s potential, and it won’t raise your
