If I can’t get my 1943 GPW restored in time, this would be a good backup “first off-road vehicle” for my son.

Neutral: When Would You Buy A New Truck Over A Lightly-Used Truck?

You can save some money and Pick-a-part junk yard when you say the dana 44 axle came off a station wagon instead of a SUV.

Diesel produces less CO2 than gasoline and NOx can reduce methane which is a more effective GHG than CO2 so diesel is actually better than gasoline from a strictly climate change perspective. Of course vs. an electric propelled vehicle it is much worse unless that electric vehicle is recharged using a Chinese coal

2nd Gear:

And NOx can reduce methane, which is a more effective GHG than CO2.

If you are really concerned about climate change and not pollution like smog, then you would want more diesels, the dirtier the better. NOx, the pollution that VW and other diesel’s cheated on can actually reduce the effects of global warming by reacting with methane, which is a much more effective greenhouse gas than

Neutral: If I buy some commuting appliance and it comes standard, then I will have driving assist tech. In my Jeeps, there are none. Even though the 99 XJ came with ABS, it has been “turned off” (ABS while rock crawling sucks).

Neutral: Has America Won The Luxury War?

I would overpay for an unmolested low mileage 1999 or 2000 (with federal emissions) Jeep XJ (Cherokee). My Current 1999 XJ is starting to show its age and I need a new shell to put all the parts and gear on when it finally gives up. Thankfully I have a wife that won’t allow me to do that.

I definitely want more performance trucks, competition strengthens the breed. While I don’t need the kind of performance the Raptors offer, I do hope that they will encourage FCA to make the new Scrambler a decent competitor. And as to why I want a “mall-crawler” and “grocery getter” with a bed too small for real

You need to get that J-trunk running. It has swagger. Not the “let’s go shopping and then get some frozen yogurt” swagger, but the “let’s go cut down some trees for firewood and then get some beef jerky” swagger.

I need to buy a couple of XJs so that when the shell of my ‘99 is too badly damaged I can swap all the good parts over to a ‘new’ one.

I can get a new Wrangler very easily here in California, have not seen any 70 series Land Cruisers at the Toyota dealers yet, maybe next year?

Fixed it for you.

Has every surviving Scirocco been lowered >3 inches, or is the one pictured equipped with a lift kit? Look at that ground clearance, makes me want to rally one.

Bring back the XJ and I’ll buy one.

Damn, that pickup truck version looks amazing. The proportions of the cab compared to the front end and bed look a bit off, but it I still love it. After the Scrambler, I will have to look for one of these.

I wish it was something more original, but the Countach was definitely the first car I was obsessed with. I liked Corvettes, loved Mustangs, but the Countach was pure automotive lust.

So is the the “nuclear option” for Cars and Coffee?
