I thought the kid might get possessed and taken over the way Leland said he was at that age.

I think it may also be that he, like Annie, is more of a plot device. It's a shame as I would have enjoyed seeing him (and Sam Stanley) one last time. His work in FWWM is pretty good and he's also so handsome in that movie - the dark light to Coop's good, but not as far off as they might seem on the surface.
I wonder if they were doing that so Peggy Lipton wouldn't have to just stand behind the diner counter for hours and hours the way she would in the original show. Either way I like it, as it adds a bit of a regal quality to scenes that mostly involve her looking on in concern.
Even the writing itself pretty much pointed out the "fuck you" stuff is a dated mask by this point, which she realized when talking to Albert. The thing with Diane is that she narratively has no strong reason to appear in most of the episodes but I think Lynch knew the character was important to viewers, and also…
The show used to have some compelling drama and fairly complex characters in the first 2-3 seasons. Most of that went to pieces around season 4, when we mostly just started aimless, pointless, flat writing, production values that increasingly reminded me of a lesser Hercules: The Legendary Journey episode, and a lot…
I didn't recognize her either. I didn't know it was her until I saw it mentioned online. I guess I should have as she looks what LFB may have if she'd left her face alone. It felt like trolling of poor Gersten that someone had a lovely piano piece in the same episode where she was running around with a druggie toyboy…
Bobby was one of the main practitioners of hyper-reality in the original series. Everything had to be over the top. I thought Dana Ashbrook always played that well, especially in contrast to some of the younger cast, who were quite flat. His scene in Jacoby's office early in season 1 represents for me everything that…
Ben and Ashley Judd mentioned getting the key and Ben mentioned the history of the room (Cooper being shot). That was also when they started hearing humming at the hotel.
13 Reasons Why is one of those shows that is going to give them a bad reputation in the long-term.
This is what happens when you get breathless hype for changing TV and being so daring and bold. The more TV you have the more it's going to look and sound like everything already out there. And Netflix really never was that different or special, just because people got giddy over Kevin Spacey looking into a camera.
She's been under stress and on autopilot. She also learned he'd cheated on her so likely wasn't in the mood to ogle him. I'm not surprised if she didn't really notice until it was pointed out by the doctor.
I just never could see Pine as Kirk; didn't work for me at all. I guess he is better in Wonder Woman.
She was likeable and fit Twin Peaks well…it was the romance that I hated.
Albert had several scenes in this episode but only spoke in one of them, mostly for expository dialogue purposes. I kept wondering if they were trying to not make Miguel Ferrer speak too much.
I think the helplessness and inevitability of anything that involves Richard is probably the most effective part of his arc.
When done effectively that can make these types of scenes more disturbing, because day is supposed to be "safe." A lot of the unpleasant scenes in Carrie are in warm sunlight and what you'd think could be cozy.
Flo would fit into a Lynch world quite well.
I know. I liked that she was sort of hiding behind them while she was spying on Chad. Kimmy Robertson is such a terrific actress - so creative. I hope I see her on a lot more stuff after this show. Other than the revival I mostly just see her in a lot of old '90s commercials on Youtube.
If that actually happens there will be riots all over tumblr and Twitter. And the people who aren't rioting will be going along so they can point and laugh.
I actually liked Annie (although I've never seen much talent from Heather Graham, I think it worked with Annie), but yeah, the relationship with Cooper was terrible. I didn't even really have much interest in Audrey/Cooper as a pairing but the way they moved from that on the ground that she was too young to having him…
