So that's what that scene was about. I didn't get it. That's a beautiful concept.

Maybe the vague comedy lurking underneath?

I had a sense of dread when he saw her watching as now I assume that means he's going to kill her.

I hadn't connected the various bits about vets. I thought the Candy Clark scenes were so stilted but I'm glad we at least have more of a background for her now.

Earlier today I was reading a post from someone trashing the new show and two of the reasons they gave were "more uninteresting white people" and actors who have aged badly. It just reminded me of how much Lynch doesn't care about fitting into the usual TV tropes and how much some fans struggle with this even as they

Speaking of Mulholland Drive, I was trying to figure out if that scene with the "spike" guy on a rampage and killing people who walked in at the wrong time was supposed to be like the scene in that movie where the guy planned to just kill one guy and then had to kill the woman in the next room, the cleaner, etc.

She did publicity for the show after that so I doubt it. Sadly none of that is very new for Sherilyn and social media.

I'd guess that Sherilyn Fenn was unhappy with her role, not with the returning cast as a whole. The thing is Sherilyn seemed to see Audrey as a leading lady and also as Cooper's destined love interest, neither of which were ever anywhere near as true on the show as they are in fanon. So that doesn't tell me a lot

I doubt it. If they were expecting a big hit or a happy cozy reunion they never would have worked with David Lynch or Twin Peaks.

But most of the complaints you have about fan service came from the first 3 episodes. Doesn't that mean the newer ones are better to you?

If he cared about fan reaction he wouldn't have included James, as James is the most hated character of the original series.

I think he used them more to set up the decaying atmosphere of the sheriff's office and the town more than anything else. I don't think he cares about fan service.

Season 1, possibly. Season 2 though…

When I saw the little person (who looked like Chris Daughtry) on a murder spree I wondered if this would get any complaints from groups, but then I realized only about 30 people are watching the show anyway.

I suppose one of the problems as with any show is people watched for very different reasons. I want to see more of the original characters, but I'm also wondering what can be done with most of them as most of them were already caricatures by the time the original series ended. The few that weren't I can see having

I think most of it makes sense. My issue is more the parts that feel very cheap and overwrought, although I guess that was part of the old show as well, just in a different form.

The Cooper stuff is probably the most interesting part of the revival for me. I like the return to the town as well but some of that is so clumsily done (like the Richard Horne character and the hit and run)…

I loved the bit where Dougie said "Jade gave two rides" and she snapped, "I bet she did!" It was one of the few moments where I laughed with the new show.

I don't see Janey-E as a nagging wife, per se - I guess she is to a point but the guy was obviously a huge loser before he disappeared and now she has no idea how to handle him even on the level of nagging. It's a one-note role most of the time but there are flashes of more depth, like how hurt she was to see he was

He seemed kind of…sluggish to me in that scene, and Jade was seemingly used to handling him with great care.
