I think so, yes. Benjamin Horne gave it to her. A while before she died she let it go because she felt it was pure and beautiful, unlike her, and too good for her. I also kind of think she let it go because she probably knew Bob would kill it or whatever.

Oh God. That and the nightmares and the scene where she let her horse go are probably what stayed with me most. Amazing writing. The odd thing is it captured the tone of Lynch's later work with the show from FWWM on a year or two before he did.

Wow. I'd heard he had some other issues about the show but not that. Geez.

You won't really miss much. The second season is mostly side plots and forced wackiness. You may want to see the finale and maybe the episode where the killer is revealed.

I'm curious - how many of you have read Laura's diary (the one Jennifer Lynch wrote)? It's a tough, tough read - harrowing - but it shapes many of my views about Laura and also Bobby. It was brilliantly written.

I'm still not sure how I'll feel about this long-term (I love the movie and parts of the show but the second season went way off the rails for me) but I'm pleased to see you give a generous grade and also have a very intelligent review. I read one review that basically rage-quit and said it was supposed to be like

They were both so sad on the inside though…

James was very good in FWWM. As Laura's impossibly perfect dream man that she had to keep in her life because she felt so damned. And in some episodes, like the one where he sang to Maddie and Donna, Donna pouted with jealousy, and then we got the terrifying vision of Bob. It was more when they focused on James and

Yes, most of the actors who have passed away while on the show were very old. There are a few exceptions - Patricia Cutts, as mentioned in the article, and Graham Haberfield, who was on the show for about 15 years until he suddenly passed away while he was still in his early 30's. They asked his family if they wanted

Yes.

This is tough for any show or any fan but it's especially tough with long-running shows as many feel the character is their friend - closer to them than many of their own family. One of those I remember most was on the soap Another World, which by this time no longer had core families due to major cast turnover, and

I decided to try not to comment as much on SNL's political commentary as I've accepted that Lorne Michaels, Alec Baldwin, etc. likely have a very different view of Trump and where America is now than I do, but there are a few bits in this article that sort of tell me why they're still giving a bit of a soft-soap

She's been like that a lot lately. I've never been a big follower of hers but I did like a few of her songs and her media personality was passable enough. And now we have things like that SNL performance and…this, a Candid Camera rictus grin. https://www.youtube.com/wat…

He reminded me of a Disney Channel parody of edginess circa 2004.

The Onion prescient as ever. Katy should hire her lyricist…

Katy Perry - I'd say it wasn't Ashlee Simpson level but at least that entertained me. Nothing against SNL booking her, as she is a big name (for now, anyway), but it was one of the most embarrassing performances I've seen on this show. "Another one in the basket…another one in the casket" and "swish swish bish" and

And this is why I didn't really go along with the mad dash of some on the left to show they too were outraged. It just enables this type of interference.

There were a lot of other close states as well that year.

Given how close the 2000 election was, I think a national platform like that did help. I don't think it was the deciding factor (and much of the media was out to get Gore anyway), but I do think it helped. It's one of the reasons the idea of a roomful of comedians yukking it up at the whole thing doesn't really do

Given how much Will Ferrell's cuddly, adorable version of W did to help him get into the White House (complete with SNL appearances to show us how in on the joke and cool W was), it's odd to see him now doing the "was I so bad?" comedy skits. It just reminds me of how shallow and enabling so much political comedy has
