The list clearly didn't want to include any numbered sequels.
This is unfortunate for game series that grew into themselves such as FF, GTA, and Ultima. (Although I would put Ultima Online over WOW for the inaugural list.)

I was sure that their arrival at a volcano was going to be the Fires of Pompeii tie-in. They would have to locate David Tenant (cameo!!) to get a replacement Tardis key from him. And it could explain that the Doctor subconsciously regenerated into a form that looks a lot like Caecilius specifically for this moment.…
