The funny part is how people think EV’s run on SMALL amounts of electricity. lol.

So does this, if they drive straight. lol

That’s got to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Those cars were 1/5th of the price 10 years ago... How is that not an investment? It’s no different then buying coins, paintings, or even in a lot of ways: land. Not everything needs to be a virtual slice of some company somewhere in order to be an investment.

late s’s are the best... you can crash into stuff up to 5mph! Makes them worth way more then those early fragile POS’s. ;)

Physics doesn’t work that way, unless the other car is 2x+ more mass. Like a truck.

Hopefully they can get his parts back. Original numbers and production date period correct parts are a huge deal on a pricey domestic.

basically all cars have recalls. GM ones just make the news because GM.

Are you kidding me?

My dad briefly had a 904-6. I’m 6'0 200lb and literally could not fit in that car- at all. I shoehorned myself in there once and my legs were crammed into the wheel hard and my head on a 45 degree angle against the roof.

Not for full scale human beings only 7/10ths scale or so- just like the car.

Not true. You can measure power by measuring acceleration of a known mass / rotational inertia without ever measuring torque at all. AKA- a dynojet inertia dyno.

Obviously you can’t obtain a torque measurement at a given / fixed RPM using this system as you need acceleration to measure acceleration.

I know- I have a 996tt. Saving for a gt3 ;)

And yet, they’re selling more cars now then ever. Probably because people do a 3 year lease, then a 6 year loan- essentially financing the car for 9 years, or just keep rolling over leases...

New Tiguan or Q3 with a gasser. The ROI for a diesel at 10 miles a day is like, sometime in the year 2500.

The new gen 3 TSI engines are absolutely awesome.

Make no mistake- junking all those cars is about punishment, not saving the planet. Far more NO and CO2 will be generated in building half a million replacement cars then would ever be saved by the delta between their actual emissions and “legal” levels.

How about because 9pm pacific time is midnight in washington and the guy’s probably hungry? lol

Tesla has good quality now? lol.

wut? Mercedes S class handily outsells it. To put it in perspective, Audi moved more then 190k units in the US in 2015. Tesla sold an estimated 17k model S. lol

And that’s not a refresh, that’s a grill delete. lol The car is definitely getting dated and never was on par in terms of fit and finish, materials, and so

It is entirely unacceptable for an officer to drive ~recklessly and endanger people to “give them a lesson”. If he wanted to ticket him, he could have pulled over, let him pass, turned on his lights, and then given him a ticket. You know, like a normal human being obeying the laws he’s paid to enforce.

It doesn’t matter if he was physically rubbing paint off the back of a police car. An officer should NEVER brake check a car, then stop in the middle of the road and get out. If you did this to an officer, instead of the other way around, it’d be reckless driving.

If he wanted to give him a ticket so bad, pull over,

Around here they like to tail gate you so bad you can’t even see their hood in the rear view mirror if you drive the speed limit- which of course you do, because there’s a cop driving up your ass. lol

“why does everybody hate us” they say.
