See my reply above - I agree that having kids exist solely in the digital world is unhealthy, but there’s no reason that a collaborative Minecraft environment couldn’t be set up in the classroom itself, which would force them to interact & cooperate - in person - to achieve the task(s) at hand...

I think the potential is definitely there to teach kids some real world skills within the world of the game. I’ve seen it at home with my daughter to some degree - nothing gets accomplished in a multiplayer setting if everyone is going to run off and do their own thing, or at least it doesn’t get accomplished as…

Actually I had quite the opposite experience growing up - Mine’s at the end of May as well, and more often than not, I get a 3-day weekend because of Memorial Day. Never wanted for kids at my parties, either.
