That “thin” characteristic you’re talking about isn’t directly related to ABV. Think about it this way — what has more body — 12 ounces of Guiness Stout, or 12 ounces of water with a couple of shots of Everclear in it? Of course, the answer is the Guiness, even though it has a lower ABV.
