Perhaps it’s poorly thought out because it was always announced as a test. It was never, ever advertised as something that was going to be heavily enforced. I don’t know, but it seems like the media picked this story up and turned it into more than it ended up being. Looks like the test is, thankfully, failing.

Obviously the real threat is the handful of small cars that have the temerity to be casually stopped minding their own business in such a way that the SUV is tempted to mount them.

Yeah, I guess you’re going to leave out the fact that they literally trying to sue anyone for doing ANY type of fan art or fan animation that wasn’t hired by them, so they can control...something?

I’m not condoning this behavior in any way, once they decide not to pursue charges, they should not be able to keep anything they seize from you.

I don’t disagree with you about targeting lower income people but its not really a “scam”. People know that buying in bulk saves them money. The price for toilet paper at Target isn’t a scam because I can get double the amount at Costco for a cheaper per unit price. That’s just how that works.

This doesn’t sound like “making a mistake”, the fact that they were registering vehicles out of state as a workaround suggests they were knowingly skirting NC law.

Unions are a good thing in concept, but these giant politically active unions that represent multiple swaths of the American worker need to go.

Funny - I have 401k matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, health benefits and do NOT work for a union.  Never have.  I wouldn’t be where I am today if I was a union worker, as seniority is taken over hard work, hustling, or performing beyond your peers.  

Do you get to simultaneously complain about elites looking down their noses at country folk while naming their vacation spot “the worst place in America”?  At least those outlets sent a reporter there before naming it the “Hellhole of the Summer.”
