A taser has a 3 - 5 meter range. That’s roughly 16 feet. And if used on someone that has a gun in their hand, finger on trigger, will cause muscles to retract and pull the tigger. Ether shooting themselves, or someone else.

All the cars that I’ve owned with keyfobs won’t let you unlock it unless you are about a foot from the car. Actually, let me rephrase that, a foot from the front doors. I can stand at the back and my wife can hit the button, and it will not unlock. I have to be standing RIGHT next to the driverside / passenger side…
