Here’s not what I am saying:
A poor white person can not be more of a victim or have a worse life than a black person.

I don’t intend to argue but add my perspective. I’ve come to intersectionality through Hooks and other black feminists who illustrated privilege through showing that while white women suffer from sexism and black men suffer from racism, black women suffer from both and that made their experience uniquely

My boyfriend has attended an addiction recovery group held in a Buddhist temple. It still has some spiritual aspect but it is attended by some non-religious who want an AA experience. Not so dogmatic. Can you find anything like this where you live, maybe?

When everyone else stops drinking, tones it down, prioritizes sleep and good skin and not waking up feeling like shit everyday over the bottle and you’re still the one trying to make blackout-nightly-drinking and daytime, 9-5 work. It can be tough to tell during your twenties but I think people who ask these questions
