I mean, if she had said “if women don’t want to get raped, they should stop drinking so much and making themselves victims,” we shouldn’t cherish that sentiment just because she used her own Kali Ma’ed uterus to personally slap Hitler across the face or whatever. We can respect her for her struggles and

Fine. She has all my respect. Bernie Sanders still gets my vote. Because WOMEN can still CHOOSE who they vote for. And NO we are probably not going to hell for not voting the gender card. Sorry Maddie!

I’m going to vote for a candidate because he’s not black.

Like Hillary’s insults saying Sanders is old, questioning his health, saying he is to far left and does not know how to compromises.

Excuse me? I don’t recall black leaders throwing out literal OR symbolic threats. I’m not “trying to make this” anything other than what it is.

Just because she’s a bad ass bitch doesn’t absolve her from critique.

Who is disrespecting her? Its not a bad thing to support a woman for president. But to tell all women to toe the line and support Hillary because she is a woman, instead of because she might be the better candidate, is insulting.

not quite. income inequality, student debt, police brutality, racism, war, limited or no access to health care, and an overprioritization of corporate interests over human ones *ARE* women’s issues. it’s not that one of the aforementioned items are somehow separate, particularly as they often manifest more intensely

Madeleine Albright is an amazing person with an amazing story, but nobody is unimpeachable.

Heck, as a Bernie fan, I can recognize that Clinton herself has overcome plenty of adversity and broken a lot of barriers for women. Same goes for Steinem and Albright.

That said, being a badass lady doesn’t protect you from criticism, particularly when you are insulting and belittling the women you claim to fight for.

I don’t recall black political leaders saying black people would go to hell if they didn’t vote for Obama.

Now playing

Ah yes, the same Madeline Albright who said 500000 Iraqi children who died over sanctions was ‘worth it’.

There’s a special place in hell for people who make this all about gender, Madeline.

Those “larger” issues are women’s issues too. It’s just that more and more feminists have become frustrated with the narrow application of “women’s issues” to wealthy, white, American women.

Who in their right mind would fuck with the lady that said the death of 500,000 Iraqi kids was worth it? Not me!

She was born in fucking 1938 in fucking Czechoslovakia until FUCKING HITLER forced her family into exile in England during the Holocaust (in which THREE of her Grandparents died). She lived through the blitz in London, hiding under a metal fucking table during Nazi bombings.

It’s been depressing to watch Clinton’s supporters try to bolster her campaign with these false and divisive narratives about sexism. It’s practically Trump-esque the way they’re using identity politics.

Damn straight. How a woman who shrugged off the deaths of half a million Iraqi women and children can dare to suggest that women who don't vote for a millionaire white woman are reserving a place in hell for themselves is beyond me. Lighthearted my ass. It was incredibly insulting, not to mention divisive.

“We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than Hiroshima. And—and you know, is the price worth it?” - Reporter Lesley Stahl

Hear that ladies? If you vote for Bernie you’re going to hell. Of course if you do anything that makes you feel good in any way, you’re probably going to hell anyway.
