That’s right, that’s what conservatives do. They take terms from the left, co-opt and invert them into something negative, and then proceed to flog those dead horses into paste. They can’t win a debate on merit, so they resort to poisoning the terminology. And because these are intellectually bankrupt buffoons, they

Maybe the MAGA degens will all of a sudden trade in their cola rolling F-series, Rams, and Silverados for Teslas. I crack myself up sometimes.

Liberal states like New York and California had been heavily investing into EVs for a while and there was a serious charger network being built up in these areas that wasn’t owned by Tesla. Tesla was no longer the new hotness of EVs and their vehicles were becoming a bit mundane.

It sounds like you’re just confused about what it means.

just by aligning yourself with conservatives, it can be reasonably assumed you’re an asshole. there’s no good conservative

Add to that in some areas Teslas are rented by UBER drivers so driving a Tesla places someone as a moderately successful person in tech or a ride share driver just scraping by.  It’s pretty hard to sell a car as a status symbol when a reasonable fraction of drivers in them are living month to month.

I think the lesson here really is just know your customer base. Just like Elon is alienating his customer base, Mike Lindell would lose all of his customers if he partnered with the Obamas.

so they are no longer exclusive.

Tesla just needs to survive its founder. If they can get by that they may have a great future.

Funny how people on the right rage against “cancel culture” while embracing it just as much as anyone else.

It’s sad, all Tesla had to do 2021+ is make a Bolt/Leaf model 1 around 25k, and heavily invest in a play-to-play charging network (could even price it up a bit) and I think Tesla would have been a dominant force in the EV market for ~20 years.

They’re the ones who perfected it.

I wonder how much declining build quality and, in the case of the CyberTruck, bad design choices has affected sales?

Part of why someone buys an EV is to project a certain set of values. Having a CEO that runs counter to that isn't helpful.

I think there is also some hard-to-quantify loss of ‘luxury-branding’ for Tesla. It was an obvious luxury brand when it came out with the initial couple cars, but (I think) this is no longer the case for multiple reasons, like stated by many others:

I saw a Cybertruck in real life yesterday. It’s the ugliest vehicle I’ve ever seen. Like, aggressively, I assume intentionally ugly.

Funny how people on the right rage against “cancel culture” while embracing it just as much as anyone else.

And since democrats occupy the majority by numbers, you just alienated a rather large consumer base.  Bad move.

Elon is a fucking POS and you shouldn’t give him any of your hard earned money.

Schadenfreude: it is the best emotion.
