I don’t think they mean that the wall-moving ability from A Link Between Worlds was literally a predecessor to Ascend from Tears of the Kingdom, because you’re right, Ascend came from a debug ability, but I can see what they’re saying in retrospect. They both allow you to use the environment (walls and ceilings) as a…
It’s not that complicated. Contracts are written and signed for these deals. As the content provider, it’s Sony’s responsibility to specifically stipulate in the contract that if content licenses are revoked by the license owner, customers who have already purchased said content will still have access to it even if…
Not outside the US they don’t. You can’t dictate people’s legal rights in real countries. Even in the US, attempts to force people to use arbitration haven’t worked out as well as companies have wanted. Especially as a large number of people entering arbitration can be more expensive to a company than a class action…
Piracy rules. Pirates are literally better curators of content than any of the companies that actually own it. Streaming is just renting. I feel bad for people who have built up paid digital libraries.
When Microsoft and Google pulled this stunt they refunded all of the purchase amounts. Will that be the case here? Or just sucks to be you?
Congress out here having hearings on AI that isn't remotely ready for prime time, meanwhile corporations out here straight stealing from people.
Boilerplate isn’t in and of itself defensible of bad policy.

Something something high seas, something something torrent.
I bet they will be. Its a classic class action suit and I don’t see how you couldn’t win.
They really should be taken to court for this. Licenses expiring is a common thing in digital distribution. The solution is to pull the licensed content from the store, not user libraries. That’s been the standard practice for games, I don’t see why it should be any different for movies or TV shows.
‘Then the Khmer Rouge began a brutal genocide that the United States simply let them commit”
Fun fact. The United States is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court and does not recognize its jurisdiction. Furthermore, in 2002, immediately after the Afghanistan invasion, Congress passed a law called the American Service-Members’ Protection Act. Despite its laudable name, it authorizes the United…
Well, as he was a canonical war criminal IRL, I see no need to belabor the point.
There are games out there that let you play as a politician.
