People are still taking about Tears of the Kingdom 6 months after it was released. People talked about Breath of the Wild for YEARS. When a game has cultural impact, people talk about it. Hogwarts only had significance BECAUSE of the controversy, and once that was done, it was forgotten.

Well, there’s the fact that I haven’t heard a single word about either since they were released. This isn’t an academic thesis. I don’t know why you’re so obsessed with proof of something that is obvious to anyone paying attention.

Sorry, but you can’t just add together subjective data and magically make it objective. That’s asinine.

Ok, so you don’t know what “objective” means. Reviews are inherently subjective, and a game about a popular IP is going to be reviewed by fans of that IP so they’re extra subjective.

Well, you haven’t provided evidence that Hogwarts is actually a good game, so if you want to be a child about it we can stop there. I have heard that joke several times so I’m not the only person who feels that way. And I bet if you asked random people who their favorite character was in Avatar, you’ll get 10 Uncle

I chose Avatar specifically because of everything you said. You missed the point. The thing I said about nobody remembering the name of a single character actually happened with Avatar. Everybody forgot about it until the sequel was announced, and now that it has been released nobody is talking about the IP at all.

All right wing corporatists suck.

Hogwarts is the Avatar (blue people) of video games: everybody’s heard of it, made a lot of money, but a couple of months later nobody is talking about it, and they couldn’t name a single character from the movie if asked. It’s a non-thing.

Or, it’s because nobody cares about the game outside of the controversy surrounding the IP’s creator.

To me, Best Family Game means couch co-op, so that would exclude Hogwarts. Plus there’s the fact that kids don’t care about that franchise, so it’s only the parents who would be playing it.

Sure, they had time to fix some bugs. They even had time to fix this one. What they didn’t have was enough time to fix every known bug, so they did triage. The most game-breaking or visually embarrassing get priority, along with bugs that have easy fixes. I’m guessing this was either not as game-breaking as other bugs

They didn’t want the pizza, they just wanted to see if they could.

People got to eat, and a corporation got screwed. That’s a win-win to me.

Not when you need to hit a release deadline for a TV show tie-in. Ultimately it’s management that decides what bugs are acceptable to hit a release milestone.

I hope this doesn’t kill the Blue Yourself speedrun, where the goal is to fire a blue shell that hits yourself in the shortest amount of time.

What I meant was, the Moors brought Spanish music to the Muslim world, not that they originated that style of music.

While I agree he would do well in the role, I have never heard the Gerudo described as Mesoamerican. They’re more of a pastiche of various Middle Eastern/Muslim cultures, with the Spanish influences in their music coming from the Moors.

I agree that Ghibli would be great, but my dream studio for Zelda is Laika. If you don't know why, go watch Kubo and the Two Strings.

No, these are either the scammers, or people who know it’s a scam and don’t care because they want to party with rich scammers.

It’s called schadenfreude. These people were at a party themed around a well-known and extremely stupid pyramid scheme. It’s funny when bad things happen to bad people.
