So instead of delivering Bayonetta 2, which wouldn’t have existed without Nintendo money, they should’ve just just made nothing and gotten paid nothing?

Frankly, they need one because their excellent A team games never sell well enough.

It only took them...

Oh good. I have some saved gameplay vids of jerks who used it to ruin matches. I’ll inform Blizzard.

I was immediately reminded of LeEco’s (FF backer YT Jia’s company) US launch last year, which essentially did the same, even down to a dud demo of a car. Lots of nonsense about transforming the industry with very little tangible things for people to grasp onto. At least FF bothered to put out some numbers.

It’s all for show, to drum of “excitement”. It makes zero sense for the chief backer to not have seen the car and also deliver the keynote speech at the same event.

I like how it looks, but I also get the complaint that it doesn’t look that much like a six figure status symbol that it’s gunning for.

Oh god. So many things to go break on that car: pop-up LIDAR, touchscreen door “handle”, active aero, facial recognition, SO MANY INDIVIDUAL LED BULBS...

Is... is the one on the left of Chinese Lightning McQueen the Batmobile?

It was spectacular, if scary as hell. A mile high plume of dust south of Carson City, an enormous barrier of wind-kicked vapor across the entirety of Mono Lake, debris pelting the car left and right. Probably added like 4 hours to the journey. Like you, I probably wouldn’t do it again anytime soon. It’s just

Hah. I also made a winter trip to Tahoe from LA once and barely escaped an oncoming winter storm. Took the scenic way back along the Yosemite because snow had started falling in Truckee and I was woefully underprepared. Still was faced with 60+mph gusts from down the mountains. That was quite a drive.

I don’t recommend getting into Evangelion through the movie. The first movie and the first half of the second movie mostly retread the show, but after that it goes off the rails with the assumption that you know what happened towards the end of the original show because it weaves all kinds of twists around it. There’s

I hope Lucid Motors hasn’t been relying on Jia Yueting wallet too much!

I agree. Nothing typifies the issue more than the random throwback gap line that completely fails to get resolved. It just kinda... ends. At least goddam commit a design element if you’re going to use it.

Are the costs 3x the regular ones this time around as well?

I mean, funding one company in one continent and doing the same in another kinda works. Funding TWO direct competitors in the same niche in the same market makes zero sense.

1. Fund a start up electric car company that plans a gazillion dollar factory with no viable product yet.
