Your response sheds light on why I think Bernie, or at least the idea of Democratic Socialism, isn't a bad idea for this country. How many mansions, or jets, or we whatever does one really need? And goddamn, I hate being political on AV Club, but if this country did a better job bringing up the poor and disadvantaged…
Think about it…when you get 25-30% taken out of your paycheck, you bitch and moan. What would you do if the government took 50% or more of your check? You would probably support policies that didn't do that. Not saying it's right its just a way of protecting your income and hoarding your wealth - voting repub.
I think once you start making millions of dollars, unless you don't care about hoarding wealth, you vote for policies that let you keep more of your money, which are usually republican. That's one side of the party that has always existed. The other side, which I don't think Lorne ascribes to, is the Xenophobic tea…
Chevy taking down Ford was political. Trump hosting was a ratings grab.
I think Lorne put it best when he said you can't explain bad timing.
run run run…now listen into this conversation….snore
wow, yes, I probly won't play this but this is intriguing
"You gotta have the big brother or that guy"
It was such a letdown. I love history and the prospect of running around in Crusader times Israel / Syria was very exciting. But you would get so far then get plunked out of the action. Spent a few hours and was done with that franchise.
I want Pre-Cambrian AC!!!!
I remember when the first one came out - I was pretty excited. However, as soon as it was revealed that everything takes place in a computer simulation, I mentally checked out. Ughh…
I think they are the best part - if you are an adult, and have lived life, you can relate.
It's completely different than Louie. Yes, it's two comedians but I actually like how Louie covers the NYC experience and has much more of an auteur feel. Maron is really about a guy with no kids trying to figure out his place in the world, set in Hollywood, where things are much more superficial and "industry" people…
Powww! Just shit my pants. Just coffee dot co-op
I think Lorne is playing New York politics. No matter how the election turns out, both of them have to live in the same town so Lorne gives him the stage and absolves himself of any media bias criticism.
what you don't like the latest "mash-up" of Bart Simpson doing Redman?
As valid as some points may be, I just never liked this column…can we do a piece called "Hate Column?"
