I'm eating it up. Marvel is overdue for a fail but I don't think it will be this. Seems like a lot of pre-hate just because Wright got cut out of the project. It will be interesting to see how Ant-man fits in w/ the overall MCU - there are absolutely no mentions of him in the phase 3 and 4 roadmap so if this is…
In the 80's, the 60's happened 20 years ago and I always thought that was the benchmark for classic rock. Hence, when I hear Pearl Jam or old Metallica on the radio, or Nirvana, to me, that is classic rock.
High Hopes to me sounds like "goodbye, Floyd is over, it was a great trip"
People forget that whenever David did stuff, Rick was included. They were really a sonic team. David's guitar was most prominent, but it would have no context if not for Rick (for like 90'% of Gilmours stuff). I think Floyd died for real when Rick passed away and Endless River is helping keep that legacy alive for…

I'm so glad Summer '68 is getting a shout out!!!
what, you don't want Marmalade?
Marmalade Marmalade marmalade …
Guy Pratt was a great addition to the band in the 80's that never got proper mention. On the tours, he did the Roger part amazingly . He didn't create anything, but if you watch Pulse, he does some crazy stuff during "Run Like Hell." Plus, I think he married Rick's daughter or something so it's all in the family.
I just don't think the author gets the whole Floyd thing. Not saying he doesn't know his shit, but I like everything from Piper to Endless River - and that's not just blind fandom. The songs from each era grow on you…even Atom Hearth Mother (ummagumma is the only album I don't think I went deep in). So, when I say I…
No, they are technically Rick and David albums with Nick happy to be there. Gilmore guitar always sounds best with a good Rick Wright soundscape to back it up.

Guy Pratt singing the Roger Waters part in "Run LIke Hell" in Pulse is awesome. Guy Pratt!!!!
Its been almost 20 years since DB has been released and it's classic in its own right. If anything, like Endless River, its a tribute to Rick Wright punctuated with Gilmore's guitar work. People forget Wright's contribution to the Floyd sound and I think with Waters removed, it's not a Gilmore solo album, it's a…
Bono is bedridden on opiates singing to himself " I don't believe anymore"
What, having a live drummer play along to recorded songs with no reverb isnt normal?

Man,
a decade ago I had a great corporate job that paid an awesome 40k a year which fueled my drug habit. I would go to sleep at 4am and get to work at 7am and still kill it. I was 24. A decade later, with two kids, a wife, a cat, two cars, and shitload of committments, I can't fathom that I was the person I was. Of…
My argument is the films are skillfully made, albeit with a lot of excess. The world Jackson creates allows me to escape while caring about the characters. That's why I "like" it. I think other escapist films such as Transformers or other junk get the escape part down, but not the story, the world or the heart. I…
