It was quite a shock for me after growing up in the late 70s, early 80s. I was very confused when I found out (around age 10) that we had been allies with Soviet Russia during WWII.

If I was Queen of the Universe, I would make every US citizen making more than minimum wage watch at least the first season. I thought it did an exceptional job of showing why 'pulling yourself up by your bootstraps' is no longer an option for most people (if that idea was ever based in reality at all).

In my experience either it's there or it isn't. You shouldn't have to work this hard. When it's right you both want to see each other and neither party is left wondering and doubting. You deserve to feel wanted and enjoyed.
