I think it's more popular with tweens and teens. My 11-year old still gets a very nervous look in his eyes if anyone brings up 'Jeff the Killer' after an unfortunate over-night YouTube fiasco. Instead of kids playing 'light as a feather, stiff as a board' now they scare each other silly with YouTube clips.
