That's really interesting to think about. Because, yes, some of the writers are serious about their anonymity.

This is where I blush in embarrassment. I like Granger-Snape fic because I dig the whole sad man redeemed by the love of a good woman and I've always been a sucker for older men, plus they tend to explore the very dark aspects of the Death Eaters and freaky pure-blood stuff. You have been warned if that squicks you…
Reading HP fanfic changed the way I view fan-made content. I went in because I was sad the books were done and thought I would get to point and laugh at the fangirls. Except some of the fangirls can write, I mean, seriously write. I was blown away by some of the places they took the HP world, absolutely stunning.
Why thank you! And that's okay, I had to google her for the spelling.
Leni Riefenstahl agrees with you.
Me too. No one in the theatre was sure if it was real or not. Lots of people saying "It can't be real, they wouldn't just make a movie like that if it was real" like they were hoping to convince themselves. Absolutely a movie that could only have happened in that one point in time.
This exchange is why io9 is my first-of-the-day site.
It's very fun and a great project. I think they might be off on the worth of Song of Ice and Fire, only because the value of the smallest denomination, a copper star, is $11. Given how much poverty is shown it seems odd. A bowl of brown costs $11? Is Flea Bottom just one giant Dollar Store? Everything's a Copper Star!
Gaaaaah!!!! Why the hell are we still dealing with this 'Handmaid's Tale' bullshit? I remember doing clinic defense in goddamned high school (I'm now 36) thinking that soon it would be over and the country would move on. Why are we still having to fight for our bodies like this? I really wish we could put all of the…
My Christmas shopping would be done with two clicks! "I'll take 40 of these, please, Mr. Amazon"
I enjoyed it. They kept the suspense up, you care about the main character because he's Brad Pitt, not because of the character he's playing. I just kept pretending he was fighting to save Angie and the kids, much more entertaining that way. I am also a great big soppy romantic who spent the whole movie clinging to my…
I read the screenplay that Straczynski wrote, it was much more in line with the book but it's dramatic reveal was extremely lame.
SPOILERS for the Film and Book
We are Geek, we bitch about everything.
My spouse told me King was working on this for ten years and was pissed when the Simpsons movie came out because he realized everyone would think he snagged the concept from them! Don't sit on those novels, kiddies!
I agree. Stahma is a survivor and she found the biggest junk yard dog she could to keep her safe in the journey to this crazy new world. She's very good at feeding him choice bits of steak so he doesn't bite her ...
Heh, fair enough. High Five right back atchya!
Thank you for taking the time to educate me, I appreciate it RotatingOrange!
I think I'm seeing what you're talking about regarding Jezebel not being so great re POC on the article posted today on Korean women getting plastic surgery. It seemed to be written by a person who was about halfway through figuring out that the world does not revolve around western white people. I don't want to smack…
I didn't see it as her throwing Christy under the bus. I felt that she had just really over played her hand to get the wedding to happen and couldn't lose any more points with Datak. Feigning ignorance was a way to get him to move on and not have to admit to being kind to Christy. I think we'll find out that Stahma…
