Graham came out today with a flat denial of interest in any job in Trump’s cabinet - so expect him to be sworn in next month (although I sort of wonder if he can get 50 votes for confirmation after his epic meltdown over Kavanaugh/attacks on Ford - he can’t vote for himself).

I don’t give a fuck about T-Swift. I do give a fuck about this:

This. GMG has no fucking room to talk.

No dude. The electoral math does not work that way and I’m kind of stunned how many people think that Wisconsin and Michigan had enough electoral votes between them to tip the election. Hillary lost by 74 electoral votes. If she had won WI and MI, she’d still have been 12 votes short. Hillary lost because she lost

Co-signed. Bredesen stands a chance at being the first TN Democrat elected to the Senate since 1990. He’s problematic (e.g., said he would support Kavanaugh’s nomination), absolutely, but Blackburn is just...vile.

Please. The left wouldn’t be the left if they weren’t shitting on their own. Sometimes it pisses me off that my political beliefs mean that I have to constantly deal with judgy control freaks who love nothing more than to censor and tut-tut and shit on their own for never being perfect enough.

I’d even go so far as to say that the midterms are more important than the presidential election in a red state like Tennessee. Also, if you can get people to register to vote in the midterms, getting them to vote for president two years later should be a cakewalk.

Yeah, looking back, I’m not sure that it was the force of Scott Baio and Ted Nugent that propelled Trump to the presidency while only piddly nobodies like Beyonce and Meryl Streep shilled for that hack Clinton.

I’d say that sounds like a 1980s description of women doing a job but 1980s is a level not even reached by the most progressive GOP.

One hundred million Americans couldn’t be bothered to vote in 2016.

I bet he doesn’t listen to music.

I am so proud of Taylor”, says Kim, snidely, while her husband heads to the White House to fangirl over Trump and continue to make them both look preeeety bad. Also seemingly snide is the use of the word “maneuvering” and the implication it gives. Tending to be used in situations that are considered manipulative, and

Sorry/not sorry, but this is a dumb take. Most (if not every) Democratic presidential nominees since the 60s has had a huge celebrity endorsement advantage over their opponent. If star power was a big factor in motivating voters, Democrats would have won every national election for the past 50 years. So the idea that

Her fans annoy the shit out of me sometimes, but I have to say that this feels like one of those movies where the war turns when the rival faction decides to swoop in and help with the greater evil.

Uh, where was Taylor Swift during the 2016 presidential election?

That’s sad for Taylor Swift because 70 year old men are the most coveted demographic in pop music.

Yeah, I’m not exactly seeing what good the whole “you shoulda don it earlier” is supposed to do. OTOH, these are the people that wrote the whole “we’re to cool to vote” article the week before the election, so whatever.

I care, that’s why I asked the question.  Knowledge is good, I just wanted to know if there was more information on this.

I’m a “better than late than never” and a “reinforce positive behavior” kind of guy. I’m not about shaming new and incoming allies; I think we do too much of this performative shaming of people who don’t particularly deserve it.

If you do and say the right thing, you didn’t do it soon enough. Either way, you’re awful.
