I was sad to see it, because I like Lizzo a lot! Glad to see she walked it back, though. 

GFY makes a point not to body shame or issue moral judgment on people based on what they are wearing. (And go so far as to delete any comments of that nature that are posted by the public.) They emphasize fit over size, and they encourage and support women who are not size 0 and who don’t get dressed by designers.…

From the New York Times piece: “For debt held by private companies, the government would “work with the borrower and the owner of the debt” with the goal of elimination, Ms. Warren said in a Medium post.”

I don’t remember the particulars, but there IS something about privately held debt. It’s not as broad relief as the government loans, but she does address it. 

It’s also common in Latin America. You don’t get kicked out of your home at 18 and called names for staying longer, even if it’s the financially responsible thing to do. 

I really really thought we’d put all that “living with your parents is super lame” thing behind us already. There are so many valid reasons why people choose to live with their parents!

Also, let’s not pretend that a kid off the street can show up at a law firm and say “hey, can I read law with y’all for four years.”

Kanye dropped out TWO days before the lineup announcement. I have not read the affidavit, I read the Atlantic article on it, which makes that claim. 

Book Club Time!!!

Apparently the 200-page affidavit for the Varsity Blues case is an amazing read, per the Atlantic article. When the high school counselor confronted one of Aunt Becky’s kids about the crew thing, Aunt Becky and Mr. Aunt Becky ripped the high school counselor a new one. They’re trash.

I am heartened to see I was not the first one to rush to the comments to point this out.
