I went to a Nationals game a couple weeks ago and sat a few rows behind the dugout. Watched the game through netting and it took all of half an inning for me to forget the netting was even there.
The opening sentence should read, “For the second week in a row, the home plate umpire at a Washington Nationals-Chicago White Sox game has suffered a wound in a freak accident”.
