My son and daughter are fine. They are not idiots like your kids. I have explained and they understand. And if they don’t they will learn. Cuz that’s what people do. Not sulk and shrivel up like animals. Give confidence to your kids. Don’t tell them that it’s someone else’s job to take care of them.
