The shotgun in his hands made me uncomfortable. I didn't think he would turn and fire on the partygoers, or on himself, or into the air at random - except for the part of me that did. That it could come back to haunt him later on didn't occur to me, but now it's a possible fear.
I think Jared seems pretty well adjusted, all things considered - he comes across more 'sensitive' than angsty. It makes sense that Daniel's striking out on his own more and more, but I miss his season 1 interactions with his siblings.
