@taniquetil: Well, yeah, I back up on my extra HDDs too. I just like the extra security of physical media. I'm paranoid as hell about it. =P

@IAmCole: I back up my media on both HDD and physical discs, but I only do discs once a year - so for people like me, this is great.

@DustyButt: I'm with you, provided you're not being a barbarian and there's only two cubes in that glass. =P

@taniquetil: On the other hand, physical disc back ups can be more reliable than your HDD - I've had several drives crash out on me after long periods of use on my media server. However, about annually, I back up all my stuff onto physical discs. I have a weekly HDD back up in place, but I like to do it immediately

@IAmCole: As capacity increases, the idea is that not only could we put more media on there, but media of higher quality. Personally, I'm not all that concerned about having really high resolution video - it's nice, but I still haven't seen it be truly worth the price premium [not for me, anyway].

@Aletheion: Shush, you're making a capitalist/rationalist argument. You know those don't work. ;)

@Gary_7vn: Actually, it's -not- a failure of capitalism. It's a failure of government management of a mixed market.

@Aletheion: I agree with you - the items should be purchased. However, the punishment for stealing shouldn't be arbitrarily higher simply because the crime is easier to commit. Stealing is stealing, plain and simple. If you violate property rights, there should absolutely be repercussions. But 670,000 dollars?

@qbxk: Those are all the people who get one.

Before I watched the video, I thought some advertising guy had made a huge mistake.
