No. Semi-weekly means twice a week. Bi-(time period) is the only one that I know that can mean two different time periods.

I know that! I was a librarian. When you catalog serials i.e. titles that come out on a repeated basis, you have to note the frequency i.e. weekly, monthly, annual or nothing if there isn't a set pattern.

I haven't gotten that far in the series.

If the comments are anything to go by, I'm the only person NOT bothered by the effects.

Ah, but us poor mortals live in the knowledge that we are unworthy of your opinions and must not question the Great and Powerful Oz about WHY he does anything.

I'm not sure he does want to get rid of Jason. His first act was to find out if Jason had any chance of belonging in the Good Place by virtue of his life on earth. The answer was no. My impression was that if he could swing keeping Jason, he would have.

Perhaps, if instead of going on about how awful it is that most critics like the show, you had stated that you personally didn't like it, then there would have been a reason to ask your views. Instead you condemned people as being idiots for liking it, with no additional explanation. That indicated to me that you had

Interesting argument, considering you are bemoaning the fact that most of the reviews are very positive. Perhaps, objectively, you are wrong that this is unworthy of the positive reviews? Maybe, in just this one case, you may have to give up the title of sole and only arbiter of what is good entertainment.

Daniel Handler has said they are already writing season 2 and hope they can get season 3 quickly. The big concern is the kids aging out if they don't get things shot pretty quickly. It's not an official renewal, but it's looking pretty good for a season 2. Since Handler says the series will be finished in 3 seasons,

I've never read the books and I'm enjoying it immensely.

I totally agree on Carey in the movie. Unlike the reviewer, I'm finding NPH to be really unsettling and threatening, more than I found Carey.

Plus, apparently "cancelled" is now a taboo word for the networks. We've had show orders cut. We've had no back orders given. We have shows that were renewed for a final season, but I can't think of one network show that has been cancelled. They all go on break and the networks say that they aren't ruling out a return.

I suppose, but HOW did he inspire people. He waffled over every decision. He never published his book, so THAT can't have caused ripples. It's like real Jianyu. How does not talking and giving yourself over to meditation affect the world enough to make it better?

Yes. Until recently the only people who knew about Jason were Eleanor, who wasn't going to expose him and Chidi, who was trying to keep both of them in The Good Place. Tahani found out and was angry, but got more involved with trying to Eleanor safe. Now Michael and Janet know. Janet loves Jason and Michael has so

The math is odd, but literally going to hell because it's the "right" thing to do is a pretty big deal. I'm not sure it's millions of points worth, but it the kind of sacrifice that can't be made in life, so maybe the math of afterlife points is different?

It also means the mother practically HAS to become a stay at home mom. We don't see that Rebecca was planning to work, but it is possible with one kid, if they needed the money. But finding childcare for three suddenly means there is no chance for her to do anything other than take care of the kids.

What were you using to watch Hulu? The CW has an app for lots of streaming devices. I watch on my Roku on the big screen TV. If you are using your smart TV there probably isn't one, but there is for most of the major streaming platforms.

I admit, I always watch on DVR so I can FF the embarrassment humor. It helps immensely.

Obviously it partly depends on ratings, but I think it will go until the Js decide to quit. They said they would like to hit 300 episodes, which will happen in season 14, so I expect it to go that long.
