Surely you mean Burton vs Carrie?

I think if Rebecca dies at Proctor's hand it is more respectful to her character, and it properly shows what abusive relationships usually do to the abused.

Because he thought he could own her - and all the incidents between them were Rebecca trying to escape him.
Maybe he did kill her. After all he did know about Hood staying on his property - she was taken on the way back from seeing him.

Everything around that shit show of satanism is really good I think. Antony Starr has surprised me (I've always liked his Hood); the scene with the incomparable Hoon Lee was so lovely. And Vulnerable.

I skip all the gore-porn parts. So unoriginal, it's poor man's Criminal Minds. Super disappointing.

I'm laughing to myself that the episode with a man torn into two parts is the one you claim proved the show has decreased its violence quota. Yeah but I guess there is less hand to hand combat and there is no joy in any of the action (bar Ivana's!). I think this season does feel different because it is dismantling

But it's only three weeks - wait and see, it might surprise you.

Yeah Cal is worse than Watts because he represses his rage (natural response to his position in the Clan and in his family) which makes him unpredictable and also because he is at no point practical or open to negotiation. Which is ironic given his hereto subservient position which demanded he compromise at all points.

i hated everything Les hated. That kind of gratuitous treatment of women's bodies is so problematic and imo misogynistic.

All those actors would be really expensive to move across and would get more expensive each year. I don't know whether The Originals could sustain it. Isn't Wesley's girlfriend on TO? So maybe?

That would be so creepy and so good. I haven't yet seen Civil War yet.
I really also like the character in the X-men but Aaron Taylor Johnson is just more interesting than the guy.

Obligatory nosy neighbour? Erik Selvig? He's a little bit nuts and a little bit invasive but sometimes adorable? The old Victorian mansion could be part of the settlement from the Lords of Asgard for his mind-assault at the hands of Loki?
I think we can have shenanigans but there has to be an over-arching theme -

Are you interested in Elena returning? I only ask because, as crappy as the story has been this last season, it has moved. And it's moved past Elena. Going back would a) be hollow because as you said it would be for only one episode, and 2) pull Damon backwards from where he is now (being conscientious without Elena,

Yeah but she's getting mainstream coverage now? I don't know - she seems to be a bigger deal now than then, but maybe it's my imagination.

I love it already - it's a relationship drama/comedy! Forget saving the world, can they save save their lease? (They are roomies)

Oh.

I thought it was a new-fangled way of saying 'worked up'. Glad to know it's sometimes just a typo.

And the way the women are presented reads very differently now, than I expect it did then. Consider the Bogart character in The Maltese Falcon (which OMG does NOT make sense) - he is such a cockwomble, I fervently wanted the dame to make off the Falcon just so she could get away from him.

Tell me more.

Thanks for the info! Life was harder pre-digital.
