I’m sure others have covered it but this seems to me that it was just a clueless network thinking that all the American viewers are clueless, too, and that we needed all of the extensive, lame hype and spectacle before we could understand the racing.

I should stop being surprised to see Will.i.am still getting work, no matter how terrible he is. He must feel like a safe bet for boomers to choose someone “hip”? I can’t think of a good reason otherwise.

$20k was the base price of an z/28 in 1998. This would have been a hair over $30k new, being an SS with the SLP (basically, fully loaded).

Weak list.

Huh? The Tesla charger is $230 and it will always charge your car fully overnight. It is fast enough and reliable. Electricity in NC is under 10 cents per kwhr, dirt cheap. Driving is under 2.5 cents per mile.

ACAB, but also... no. No one deserves summary execution by the state.

Regardless of my feelings that sov cits are complete dumbshits, no one deserves to die because of a fake license plate.

That was actually surprising.  The last I remember hearing about this, the line was ending in Victorville.  Of course, I wouldn’t want to leave my car attended for days in either Hesperia, Victorville, OR Apple Valley.

“And while ass-covering corporate disclaimers are a standard part of any company’s public announcements, when it comes to Tesla and its extremely loose relationship with its own deadlines, a statement this thorough carries extra meaning.”

I can’t wait for next season to hear all about how great the Saudis are, how amazing the racing in Vegas was, and how teams are clamoring for even more races!

If you’re watching DTS for its journalistic integrity or authenticity, then you’re going to be disappointed. There definitely have been some big misses in terms of good stories left out, but if you’re watching it to be entertained (like most people are) then you’ll be much less disappointed.

If DTS were to go away,

It’s not scripted, but it’s edited/cut/displayed in a disingenuous way and always has been.

But if you’re making shit money, maybe you shouldn’t be buying the average new car.

Thank you. The headline and entire article is misleading, as the Abrams as well as almost every ground based US military vehicle are effectively diesel engines (some with the ability to burn many other fuels in emergency situations). Gas is never used in the field unless it is to power a civilian piece of equipment

I think if you ask a lot of people they wouldn’t list eco friendliness of EVs as being a top reason for purchasing EVs. I’ve owned EVs for 7 years and it isn’t even my top 2 reasons.

Usually, the brodozing wankers tend to not go above the F-250/2500 line. Once above that threshold, the trucks are generally used for actual work and are bought by businesses, big and small.
With that said, if you are buying one of these as your daily transportation, then you are a wanker.

It seems that lots of guys in white collar jobs have a certain insecurity around the blue collar types. They feel the need to drive a truck to show that they are still ‘tough’.

If you have mid-range white collar salary and are still eating at midmarket chains you should probably learn some money management techniques.

So in Virginia they won’t pull you over for a low level traffic offense yet they consider going 11 mph over the limit to be a hardcore felony.

What I don’t understand is the NFL is a billion dollar industry and not every team has cheerleaders so paying for everything mentioned here isn’t going to affect profits very much.
