You drive a LOT of miles. For people who drive 3500+ miles a month like you (assuming 35mpg gas car comparison), the EV saves a lot of fuel cost. But I think you’re in a pretty small minority of drivers who put that many miles on per month.

I understood what you meant by ‘gradual,’ but zero to 60 in 5.1 seconds is more than “reasonably quick.” That’s close to 2006's BMW M3 or Dodge Charger SRT8 (both 4.8).

They’re just gonna attach em to the same CVT that’s used on the crosstrek. The CVT will burst into bits about 12 miles after the warranty expires, and all the replacement ones are only good for 20k minutes.
