Having accompanied my brother to buy his 964 turbo, F40, and a 360 Stradale, but not all the other cars he has. I vicariously know this segment. This man should spend every cent of his budget and then some on one car! Bravo to that kind of success/good fortune. I’m grateful he brought this question here to the many of

Really well thought post here. I’m not smart enough to know if all this is true but you’re quite convincing. That being said, I like this model as well. The E320 was my first new Mercedes. Aside from being a Mercedes I chose this partly because at 29 not many of my contemporaries were driving nice sedans so it stood ou

I concur. Just amazing stuff. The Pagani of Porsches. I have to take some time before I return to the pictures.

There should be an award for ‘useful post of the day.’ As many of us think about buying one your perspective is valuable. It must be a riot to drive. Jealous I am!

One thing I got used to fairly quickly was looking down at that three pointed star and knowing I couldn’t live without one again. I learned that day, I should always have a Mercedes and I should always buy my cars at least a two hour drive from home.

Great story. Thanks. Those Alfa wheels with the rings are awesome.

I wish you much luck Stef! I for one love Jalopnik in a weird way and I can only explain it by knowing others like me are out there (actually in here.) I guess we are in here. As someone in business for over 25yrs, I’m of the opinion that (and I hope someone in charge is reading this) that you need to do what you can t

Maybe she is bi? You should check that out!

Star for “panoply.” Brings me back to this iconic TV moment

If you own your own business that does well and you always buy new cars anyway it can make some good sense.

Holy shit! This article just changed everything I was going to think about today. Thanks!

On another note, Seinfeld just bought an awesome Porsche 934 turbo rsr that I found was also most likely the same car sold in 2012. Race history model & road legal car. Would love to read your thoughts on this supposedly orginal 1 of 31 beast. Perhaps you can elighten us with an article about the car I knew little abou

First James, I’m a huge fan of your passion for cars in general and try to keep up with everything you’re up to in the automotive world. (I hope that doesn’t sound creepy. It probably does.) Absolutely love your creations. Had to say that. Second, when I watch Ring videos, isn’t there a Ring Taxi woman that is well kno

I do though. That’s why I started taking my kids to Pocono when they were as young as 4. At 12 and 14 now, they love racing! Yes, even my daughter. Good times indeed.

I second the others referencing your excellent comment and as I’ve mentioned to you before I look forward to reading what you have to say. I pretty much always enjoy it. Now I know you aren’t doing it for anyone else and definitely not for me but I wish you had a similar sensibility in regards to Anthony Bourdain. But

This post is exactly what I was thinking. You hit nail on head! Cost be damned if it’s what we want.

Having quite a bit of multiple M3 experience, I feel like we are getting really close to what is essentially a 4 door 911. I love a 4 door M3 & I love 911's. So this is great news indeed.

Anyone who thinks he understands this is insane.

While this is a great and fairly full comment, you’re sadly still missing things. This “genius” knows no boundaries in imploding an inheritance that much of the electorate thought was just” a small $12mil loan that made his fortune. Not the real fortune his father left him. His business acumen is astonishingly poor.

Can we be friends? My brother has had an F40 for probably 15 plus years. I’m not sure he has used two tanks of fuel. Maddening it is.
