I thought it was implied by you responding to my post, about the reason for his not showing up, with your thinking that he had no money to pay a lawyer.

There is a LOT they can do. For one thing, rule against you, as happened here. Maybe it would’ve happened anyway... maybe not, depending what he had to say for himself. He’ll never know.

Vindication is pretty much the opposite of guilt.

Unrelated. Broke or not, you still have to go.

That may well be. I have no idea what kind of drugs he uses, himself. He may not be competent at present.

That seems unusual to me in a default judgment case...

He opted to represent himself a while ago. Not having a lawyer doesn’t mean you don’t go.

That’s what I first thought, but why is a jury deciding damages?

Some respondents have already noted, this was a judgment made in default. The court ruled against Nick Gordon because he didn’t show up, not because of a preponderance of evidence.

However, I still believe that if the media treated him like a legitimate candidate, and challenged his positions, and proposals, and fact-checked him in real-time (something they still don’t do), I believe he wouldn’t have become the nomination.

Isn’t that pretty much how Brexit ended up passing, too? Enough people believed their protest vote wouldn’t matter because Brexit wouldn’t possibly be passed, and so it passed.

Nope nope nope

Anyone who complains about the moral failings of an entire generation is really just exposing themselves as a crotchety asshole.

I know how voting works. I also know that if enough people slice votes off from Clinton in enough states, we could have a disaster on our hands. But by all means, I am happy for anyone who isn’t made as nervous by this election as I am.

What you described is not limited to millennials. I’ve seen plenty of Boomers, Xers, and quite a few Gen Zers (those born in or after the mid 90s) take the same stance. There’s an over focus by the media on white, middle-to-upper class, college educated members of the millennial generation, but that is far from

How many times did she resign because of them before today?

You are correct. Whether or not to continue working — and if so, where, in what capacity, and for how long — is not Britney’s choice. It is her father’s.

She's still under a conservatorship. She's not making her own financial decisions.

Sure, that’s a fair point. It just troubles me because she has no control over her own finances, or her own life, really. So if she’s told “You need more money”, it’s based on someone else’s idea of how much income she needs. People who are, I assume, also on her payroll. Hopefully the people who are her conservators

Maybe it’s not normal behavior to you, but I talk and laugh to myself all the time. I don’t use a British accent, no, but only because mine SUCKS.
