If we do pick an official language, it should be a Native American language, since the Native Americans were here FIRST!

Its great that we’re getting a Captain Marvel movie- but given that women make up like over half of the world’s population I think we could find it in our soft and tend hearts to financially support more than one female superhero movie

I went to see Age Of Ultron yesterday and they showed a trailer for Ant Man and I just couldn’t understand why they’d invest time and money into a a super hero who controls insects when there’s already a well established MCU character*, who not only has the most interesting back story in the Avengers, but also can

Yep. Not there. I was standing there, looking at the display, and I said, aloud, “Of course. No female superhero figures. It might taint the overall display” in this bitter voice. I think I scared the Target associate standing there, but the woman wheeling her cart nearby shook her head in disgust while looking at the

I wish I could show them photos of my room in middle school, it was a Buffy SHRINE! ALL the action figures, ALL the comics, ALL the posters! I ran out of wall space so I had them on the ceiling, I had the freaking CARDBOARD CUT-OUTS! But, ya know, girl’s don’t collect that stuff...

I know! I still always imagine the poor fool at Disney who underplayed/didn’t anticipate the Frozen thing, causing most of the merchandise to come in late. I wonder where that person works now.

The ridiculous thing is, studies have shown that preteen girls are WAY more likely to buy and collect media-based merchandise than preteen boys are, especially the non-action figure stuff. Marvel’s missing out on a ton of sales.

It’s funny because they might actually make something like this and then claim that female superheroes can’t carry a movie, thereby absolving them from ever making another female led movie.

Yep. Nowhere in the stores. You have to go to a specialty shop. Don’t you know girls aren’t real consumers?

Walked into Target yesterday. The new Marvel movie toys were ... in the “boy” toy section, and as usual, not one female superhero in the bunch. I’m going to guess that, if they do have those toys they are sold online, if at all.

Spoilers ahead! Okay, I’m actually pretty disturbed by the direction they took Black Widow in Age of Ultron. There’s a scene where she’s telling Bruce that she’s a monster too, and well instead of naming any of the murders she’d committed or other logical disturbing options, she talks about how she was sterilized

she’s the only action figure missing at target.

The cardigan over the catsuit is fucking inspired.

My first comment was eaten. I saw the latest Avenger movie with my teenage cousin. We went to the book store after. She was looking at bobble heads for Avengers. She notices there were none for Black Widow. I told her there was also no action figures for her too. She ended up getting a Vision bobble head. It is weird

No but seriously, my daughter is super annoyed that she can't get a black widow costume/action figure/spy gear. It is literally all she wants.

Man, he’s gonna be pissed when someone reads this article to him.

Forget that, use it as an excuse to make rice pudding. "Oh... I accidentally made too much rice. I guess I will have to make dessert..."

Whenever I make rice I make twice as much as I need, sometimes even on purpose. I honestly didn’t think you could make rice any other way.

Also please tell your sitter about anything that may not seem obvious to them. I once read fairytales to kids who weren’t allowed to read books about magic for religious reasons ‘cause I didn’t think to ask and their mom didn’t think to tell me.
