I had to facilitate a positive parenting group for a few months (when the original instructor went on medical leave). I cannot tell you how many times I had to explain that a ‘spanking’ does not leave bruises or cuts. A ‘spanking’ does not use branches, sticks, shoes, cords, belts, yard tools, kitchen utensils, or

I hope I’m wrong but I’m guessing she receives her fair share of slut shaming from the wives and girlfriends (‘why don’t you cover up then?’ ‘Or maybe don’t dress like a stripper or porn star!’ Etc). I doubt all recipients respond this way but I can imagine many would lash out in embarrassment or hurt or shock (at

Also, don't fucking run away from me during an argument and lock your door. I'm not your mom or leather face.

Because loving Jesus is the only dude they feel free saying they love. It's the small freedoms they get to share publicly.

Also usually a sign of infidelity.

I’m pretty sure IamOutraged was posing a troll-ish or joking question. Or at least I hope it was.

I’m pretty broke myself, but California broke, so $158,000 seemed pretty fucking cheap to me.

    *errs not era.

I'm fairly petite so I might not be the best judge but I have always felt like AE products actually run a bit large for their sizing (for as much of a standard measure as I can figure). There doesn't seem to be a real across the board standard size anymore but some places do seem to run larger and in my experience AE

In the sense that you’re not being personally singled out or discriminated against? Sure...maybe it’s not the strictest definition of harassment, but I bet a good goddamn its against some sort of workplace professionalism standard.

I think I would especially demand payment if lines were crossed. I wouldn’t want to get fucked over twice, and would at least want the original amount negotiated...plus the odds of the justice system jumping over themselves to help a sex worker seem low so I would at least try to get whatever payment I could.

Agreed. I’m in no way against a boycott or protest in general. I am (however) against Chris Rock being pressured to drop out of his hosting gig and kind of question the effectiveness (or impact) of a non nominated or non performing celebrity staying home in protest.

I went to Christian school and ‘day care’ most of my childhood because of our rural location in town, but my family was not religious and kept fairly liberal or progressive politically.

I hope so, it just doesn’t seem likely to me. I’m not sure how not showing up to an event that you weren’t nominated, presenting, or performing at stands out. If anything I worry that they would be completely overlooked or forgotten altogether.

Based on some shit I’ve seen in the Internet (and racist old people memes on Facebook) there are clearly many people in America who don’t really ‘get’ POC and their value to the entertainment industry. Further evidenced by the Oscar voters...

I think any exposure to non white talent (especially someone as generally well liked as Rock) couldn’t help but show the range and audianve acceptance of POC. Not to mention highlighting the fact that it is a disproportionately non diverse event.

I don’t see how having a successful and well liked POC performer drop out of hosting helps a lack of diversity at the oscars?

I worked (in an admin capacity) with several Drs and nurses and I’ve never met a group of people who disliked other humans so much.

My husband is also the grilled cheese master. I can cook anything else (no matter how complicated or tedious) but his grilled cheese is just better. I don't know why.

I never really wanted kids because it seemed kind of awful, but my best friend had a kid and now it seems kind of hilarious. Her daughter is funny and cute and a little sweetheart and it kind of makes me want one too...but what if my kid isn’t as cool?
