In my experience union members can be just as apathetic as anybody else. A large portion of them want to just pay their dues and be left alone until they’ve been disciplined and need a rep. $30-$34 an hour is a LOT, and I live and work in San Francisco. I would gladly pay $6,000/yr for that. If 18 year olds are complaining about that, then they are just too damn entitled and will get a very shocking wakeup call when the shit hits the fan.
