The examples you gave are all private institutions. I hate LU and Falwell with a disturbing passion, but sometimes students who attend these colleges do have to agree to more stringent controls in the form of signing codes of conduct, etc.
Not endorsing those controls or anything, just wanted to mention that.

Right, because everyone wants to drive a beater and spend their weekends in the garage elbow deep in the engine bay. There is a balance to be struck here, between incurring debt and having a fun, reliable car.
