the F-150 is #1. Americans 100% buy trucks.

I’m curious. Which korean or even european trucks would americans actually buy?

Mr. Fruits_McGee is 41 and still has over $110k in student loan debt.

I kind of can comment. I grew up decidedly upper class. Not titans of industry wealthy, but $1M plus more annually.

The school district isnt in charge of fucking gun control, you idiot. They school has very limited ways to deal with this.

The people putting together the cars are compensated through a pay check. But you already knew that.

I think the current rate our plan administrator charges is like 3%.

This is correct. not available to everyone, but still should be given notice.

Pound the money in your 401(k). You can always take out a loan from yourself (401(k) loan) at super low interest rates in an emergency situation.

This is one of the worst posts I’ve ever seen on Jalopnik.

Yeah. ok. i’m coming off an X5 5oi that I got absolutely got destroyed on. Maybe not fancy enough.

new ones are ~50k. (premier). 25% in 2 years and 20k miles. I thought i could have done a bit better than that.

it totally is! I’m just having a hard time coming up with numbers like that on cars I want.

While looking for used cars in the 1-3 yr old category, I’ve found there hasn’t been much depreciation to be had. The insance discounts off msrp, especially on american cars, really fuzzy the waters. It’s funny how many 1-2 yr old cars (denali tahoe) look to go for hardly any less than a brand new one.

soooooo what? maybe i don’t like the look of wagons. People spend a hilarious amount of time in and around their car. Maybe they want to buy one that they like.

“But they don’t like it” EXACTLY. so car people should stop being judge assholes and respect that people like certain things and it’s not a big deal.

‘status symbol.’ ah yes a tahoe. the bastion of status.

point me to a wagon that can tow >5k lbs.

My point is, SUVs have more than one attribute other than traction and ground clearance as a reason for buying one. It can do things that a wagon or mini van can’t. Like tow or haul a heavy load.

wait. SUVs were designed to only be driven off road? I thought they were more for towing and payload.
