That all sounds awesome! Marigolds are one of my favorite flowers!

I love container gardening! I used to do that when I lived in the city all the time. I’m bummed that I got rid of all the pots after moving 2 times... Trying to build up my pot collection again.

I love fresh peas off the vine! :)

Nice! I’ve been looking forward to all the planting. We had a birthday party for my cat last night, so once that was cleaned up, I started doing all the seedlings.

Yeah, I’m gonna try that. We only plant along the edge of the fence, so the area is pretty narrow. Some of the plants will go to my mom’s new house where she has a good sized planting bed, but only one bed. She also wants to plant ALL sweet peas, but I’m making her plant edible things as well.

Will do! That’s what I’m doing with the sugar peas and the sweet peas (my mom LOVES sweet peas).

Basil here too! And tomatoes, lettuce and a few broccolis. We have limited space, but my mom has a small garden as well. I figure whatever we can’t fit into our garden or my mom’s well give to our friends.

Ooo, excellent! I’ll look for some at the store tomorrow. Thanks! :)

Nice! Maybe I’ll have to make some room for some spring peas ;)

I’m doing sugar peas! But I’m starting everything inside because of the zone we’re in. Definitely have a few more snows coming and probably last frost in early May...

Thank you! While I miss those things, I do love where I live, so it’s an ok tradeoff :)

I love cherry tomatoes!

No. :( I live in a small town and the nearest one is 75 miles away. I used to eat it often when I lived in Big City. Chipotle and a great sandwich shop with different locations in just that city: miss them so much.

Ooo, that’s tough.

Oh gawd I miss Chipotle.

I started planting seeds for my garden today. Lots of yummy foods to grow this summer, and some very lovely flowers too! :)

There’s definitely mail privilege in the Penguin house. It’s always for him. I never get any!

My brother and I also chopped wood for the various houses we lived in that were wood-burning, although we cannot claim 0 accidents. My brother got sloppy with the axe, it slipped, and hit him right in the shin. Dad was pretty mad about it because he had taught us safety.

My hometown has a fair every year and do a woodchopping competition. Both men and women compete. Good wood chopping is a lot about technique and getting the right piece that doesn’t have a knot in it. It’s amazing how sometimes the tiny lady does really well in the woodchopping.

I thought the same thing. Far more common to get the damn axe head stuck and struggle to get it out again.
