I’m not American. I agree that American skincolour definitions are weird and Italians as well as Portuguese are white. Still, we might use different words here, but Asian, Black and white exist as categories outside of the USA.

As a German who lived in Japan and studied the history of both countries I can’t agree. While the Japanese war crimes are definitely horrible and more people should know about them (and there really, really should be an official apology) they were war crimes and not a highly efficient genocide that lead to over 6…

They always come back and talk about how Americans asked them if Hitler still rules and if we have computers in Germany. I always loved the stories exchange students told about the USA.
