Oy, this one is right up there with "...you didn't build that..." as a politically myopic misunderstanding of a statement. All they are saying is get commuters off the road and leave the driving for those who WANT to drive. Not a terribly political statement to make.

"I think it is well documented, unofficially, that any political figure (and supporters) has commitment issues. "

And not just within cities. I used to have a commute of 80 miles one way. Once a week, luckily. Anyway, I always took the train (and bicycle to the train station). From door to door the train/bicycle combo was almost as fast and far more relaxing. I could snooze or work. I had one changeover in that commute. In the

Unless you freelance and have a unusual schedule, most cities with public transit have routes and times that cover the morning and evening commutes. Especially places with a metro/subway system.

So you can't be conservative and use public transit? Tell that to all the people here in D.C. who take the Metro and work for the GOP, the Heritage Foundation, etc...

So you're saying that you like being stuck in traffic with all the idiots who don't care about cars and would rather text, or read, or change clothes, or sleep behind the wheel?

If you ever move to a large city, you will change your mind quickly. Public transit works in dense urban areas. Trying to drive through them, along with everyone else, at the same time generally does not work.

Huh? or you know... they actually love cars but realize that public transportation can handle most of the workload better? That having 1,000 people take the subway instead of all in a car on the highway is better for everyone.

Neutral: Do You Take Public Transit?

It's a long and storied history.

The Pontiac Vibe. It's a Toyota, from GM. It isn't exciting, but it was a good car.

Have to go with the Panther Platform. Hello Lincoln Towncar.

Chevy SS and Holden Commodore.

Last night it was so cold I slept inside my oven. I don't want to go outside. I called in a 'snow day' yesterday and it only snowed about a 1/4 inch. I'm not alone. Everyone is fearful, and those fearful people aren't going out buying cars. They're buying Jeeps.

Yeah, I drove a Cadillac once. It was horrible, so I just assumed nothing ever changes and will always think Cadillac makes craptastic floaty land barges with fake and simulated everything. I prefer not to think too much about things too much.

Also drove a Kia once, 15 years ago. It was also crap, and everything fell

Who doesn't love the Fiat 500? It's great!

Am I possibly the only person on Jalopnik that likes the 500? I mean yes, the build quality inside is best classified as fragile, but overall I think it's a quirky and stylish city car. That rectangular exhaust is still my favourite bit of the car.

So.....you replied on an article about it?
